SuperBac AMR 2050
SuperBac: 2050 is a short microbiology atmospheric-survival-simulation game where you play a little bacterium adventuring to become a bacterial super bug with full antibiotic resistance.
Concepts covered: Molecular Microbiology, Bacteriology, DNA, biofilm, antibiotic resistance (AMR), microplastics, phages/viruses, plasmids, horizontal gene transfer (transduction, transformation, conjugation), luminescence, micro-world/nano-world, hard science fiction, Right not Rote learning.
It features world generation, bacteria simulation with sensory awareness and gene/DNA mechanics, high-definition textures and 3D modelling. It started as a small work project involving bacterial biofilm simulation.
Inspired and approved by Microbiologists.
A solo developer's first 3D mini-game.
Built with Unity3D and Blender, code is open-source.

You, little bacterium, are destined to become a SuperBac!
Explore a microscopic world... on a tiny grain of sand... filled with bacteria, nutrients, phages, antibiotics, debris and micro-plastics.
Discover new genes, build up your genome, grow your numbers and above all survive!
*Game Loads at Minimum Graphics setting. Press 'M' to pull up settings.*
HELP tips: 1) Phages are viruses that attached to bacteria. They are not always bad and sometimes give you useful genes. To find them, look for tiny shiny things in the environment. 2) You'll need the 'Competence' gene to succeed. Quickest to connect with phages to find this gene. It allows trading genes with other 'competent' bacteria. You'll see a blue glow on bacteria while you are trading. 3) Some genes are always on, others need to be selected. Select genes on the bottom bar by pressing numbers. Press the number on the gene slot to see your genes. Then press the number next to the gene on the list. 4) Dying bacteria will often leave behind floating genes. 'Competence' also allows you to pick those things up. You cannot kill directly but can push them in to things! 5) There are lots of genes, like 'Boost' and 'Quickness', that will help you get things done faster.
